Second Thursday means time for another SESH seminar.
This week we begin the solar portion of the series:
Introduction to Solar Energy: We’ll explore why we’re interested in solar energy, our solar resource and how it gets to us, solar terminology, measurement and units, atmospheric effects, and sun angles through the days and seasons. Next we’ll take a quick tour through the ways we can use the sun’s energy ranging from direct uses (the solar cat and others), passive solar concepts, active solar thermal including domestic hot water and space heating, and photovoltaic systems. It’s a whirlwind tour. Using a seminar format, we’ll make time for and encourage Q&A and general discussion.

$50 for the entire eight-month series and you may apply your previous admission.
